Payment Rule Waivers
· Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) 3-day Rule Waiver:
o Yes, our ACO uses the SNF 3-Day Rule Waiver, pursuant to 42 CFR.
· Waiver for Payment for Telehealth Services
o No, our ACO clinicians do not provide telehealth services using the flexibilities under 42 CFR 425.612(f) and 42 CFR 425.613.
ACO Participation Waiver
The following information describes each arrangement for which our ACO seeks protection under the ACO Participation Waiver, including any material amendment or modification to a disclosed arrangement.
Amarillo Legacy Medical ACO (owned by Amarillo Medical Specialists, LLP, Cardiology Center of Amarillo, LLP and BSA Hospital, LLC) purchased diagnostic equipment to scan patients’ retinas for diabetic retinopathy. Beginning on September 1, 2017, Amarillo Legacy Medical ACO loans such equipment to the physician practices located here for the provision of retina scanning services
Amarillo Legacy Medical ACO (owned by Amarillo Medical Specialists, LLP, Cardiology Center of Amarillo, LLP and BSA Hospital, LLC) has arranged for printing and mailing of preventative health notices to patients that are in need of necessary health maintenance services. This could include items such as reminders of needed mammograms, colonoscopy, immunizations, or similar preventative health services. Beginning on September 1, 2017, Amarillo Legacy Medical ACO may be reimbursed by BSA Hospital LLC to cover the costs of printing and mailing these notices.
